Position Summary

The QC Supervisor manages Quality activities regarding the safety, quality and efficacy of our products, thereby ensuring the availability of accurate and safe product for our Associates and customers. This role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining QA/QC programs to improve product quality and ensure products are produced in compliance with product standards, good manufacturing practices and in accordance with government regulations. This role is intended to supervise process controls and continually review, track and document laboratory, testing, and processing functions. 

 

Work Schedule: This position currently follows a hybrid work model. Employees are required to work from the office at least four days per week (Monday - Thursday), with Friday available for remote work, offering a blend of in-person collaboration and flexibility. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Work internally and with third-party manufacturers and contract laboratories to oversee the process of establishing finished product specifications.
  • Oversee process for managing out-of-specifications (OOSs) on in-process and finished product batches through direct contact with contract manufacturers; review and approve manufacturing rework/deviations/change requests, etc.
  • Manage Supplier Qualification activities including the supplier audit program. Review and perform audits of strategic partners, suppliers and third-party logistics to ensure compliance with cGMPs, company practices, and Isagenix requirements, as needed. Manage activities relevant to external and internal audits.
  • Manage product stability testing and shelf-life programs. Process laboratory results, data collections, statistical evaluations, trends and prepare quality control reports based on results and data.
  • Develop strategies and implement policies and SOP’s for evaluation improvements.
  • Direct and oversee the work of Quality professionals, including training, mentoring and ensuring professional development.
  • Manage the calibration and monitoring program for all in-house laboratory instrumentation.
  • Keep company updated on any regulatory compliance changes in the industry that would affect product test methods and/or product integrity.

Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent quality assurance experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Food and Dietary Supplement industries.
  • Professional experience working with quality assurance or FDA regulations.
  • Solid understanding of food manufacturing processes and troubleshooting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • No dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Must be a non-tobacco user and will not use tobacco products on or off the job during the tenure of employment in Quality Assurance, as it may affect taste accuracy testing.
