Position Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the full spectrum of the accounting activities and functions. This may include but is not limited to bank reconciliations, payroll, intercompany balances, prepaids, general accruals, financial statement reviews, etc. The position demands an analytical skill-set and an ability to hit deadlines while maintaining accuracy and a sound knowledge and application of accounting theory, principles, and procedures.

 

Work Schedule: This position currently follows a hybrid work model. Employees are required to work from the office at least four days per week (Monday - Thursday), with Friday available for remote work, offering a blend of in-person collaboration and flexibility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Application of knowledge of US GAAP Accounting and applying the proper accounting policies and procedures to all job responsibilities.
  • Reconcile corporate bank accounts and GL accounts on a daily basis.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliation for payroll related items.
  • Review intercompany balances and reconcile as needed.
  • Maintain all deposit and prepaid GL accounts and determine the proper period for each expense.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for invoice-based accruals.
  • Identify and research reconciling items, providing adjusting entries or recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in specialized areas such as fixed assets, leases, debt, inventory, commissions, royalties, ad hoc analysis, etc.
  • Assist with audit requests and inquiries.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional areas and handle any conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the ERP and act as liaison for any improvement projects related to your assigned areas of knowledge.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience performing accounting activities.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Accounting experience in international markets or technical accounting roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Public accounting experience at a national or mid-tier firm.
  • Professional experience in network marketing or health and wellness industry.
  • Previous experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system.
