Position Summary

The Demand Planner is responsible for the development of SKU-level operational forecasts for all products within the Isagenix portfolio through the coordination of the S&OP processes in order to drive production and inventory planning requirements as well as to provide projections for corporate cash flow analysis. This role will perform data collection and related analyses to support the development of reconciled business forecast, monitor performance accuracy and improve demand management processes.

 

Work Schedule: This position currently follows a hybrid work model. Employees are required to work from the office at least four days per week (Monday - Thursday), with Friday available for remote work, offering a blend of in-person collaboration and flexibility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Influence cross-functional areas to obtain a consensus forecast.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus based approach by working with sales, marketing, and planning to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Design and use forecasting reporting and analysis tools for all phases of the forecast process.
  • Lead cross-functional Demand reviews in accordance with the S&OP process standards.
  • Create and maintain forecast models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources.
  • Analyze historical data and market intelligence in order to develop and improve the sales forecast; evaluate a variety of inputs and demand sources to anticipate usage reaction to promotions or discounts.
  • Compare demand plans to business and financial plans in order to determine gaps and appropriately challenge assumptions when significant deviations occur between the revenue projection and forecast.
  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
  • Work closely with Supply Planning and provide input to the supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Maintain best in class forecast accuracy levels.
  • Create continuous improvement of Planning and Inventory processes in order to meet business conditions.
  • Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.

Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years of supply chain planning, inventory management, transportation / distribution and/or customer service systems and processes.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiar with the financial and operational implications inherent in supply chain decision making.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to work with Mathematical concepts.
  • Experience in development of and use of forecasting techniques, applications, and measurement (MAPE, MAD, and other forecast measures).
  • Solid understanding of all data and its relationship to the forecast (i.e. raw demand, shipments, base, promotional / incremental, seasonal.)
  • Working knowledge of project management skills in a planning function creating project plans with interdependencies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline.
  • APICS coursework or credential.
  • Replenishment planning experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with ERP transactional data.
  • JDA/Blue Yonder or other forecast software proficiency.
