Position Summary

The Sr. Human Resources Generalist performs a variety of complex human resources duties on a professional level, partnering closely with senior HR management and various managers across the organization, in supporting HR processes and department-specific strategies. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, leave administration, and employment law compliance. The Sr. Human Resources Generalist is an essential and strategic partner of the HR team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Produce offer letters, maintain templates, and communicate pertinent information to employment applicants.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Coordinate contingent labor activities, interact with suppliers, track and maintain records for non-employees.
  • Assist with relocation/corporate housing arrangements for non-local new hires, including relocation agreements. 
  • Coordinates new hire orientation, employee referral program, onboarding experience, benefit orientations, and employee recognition programs.
  • Communicates leadership objectives persuasively and effectively while collaborating with organization leadership to improve leadership capabilities, workforce performance, overall engagement, and the advance of the organization’s strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a resource for employee relations issues through the organization with the ability to professionally perform at a high-level using discretion and effective communication skills as it pertains to employee and manager situations, consulting with HR leadership as necessary.
  • Efficiently manage and administer various leave programs, including FMLA, Maternity, unpaid leaves, short-term disability, and ADA accommodations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and seamless coordination between employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Be an active member of the Company’s Spirit Council to promote volunteering and assist with employee engagement and appreciation events.
  • Support business and employees to adapt to changing work environments, as necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Validate, enter, and maintain accurate data into various systems for both domestic and international employees.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
  • 3 years of experience in an Employee Relations role.
  • Possess a basic understanding of the Federal and State guidelines and laws regarding human resources administration.
  • Effective judgment, tact, diplomacy, and discretion required in all matters.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to manage/lead groups of people and tasks simultaneously.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administrator, Psychology, or Human Resource Management from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with call center and non-exempt employees.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with inernational markets and employment law.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems such as iCIMS.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or ADP Celergo.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification.
