Position Summary

The Product Marketing Manager plays an integral role in the entire product lifecycle from ideation to commercialization through discontinuation. This position sits within the business development team but works collaboratively across multi-functional areas such as R&D, Operations, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Sales and Marketing to bridge gaps and ensure open communication and alignment. The Product Marketing Manager serves an inter-disciplinary role to define and deliver North America product and pack management for assigned categories.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Supports the Sr. Product Marketing Manager in new product ideation from a marketing perspective—providing trending concepts, product strategy, ideal price range, preferred marketable features, claims and benefits, possible key ingredients, and positioning (i.e. how the product fits into the Isagenix story). May also advise on packaging, naming, and branding.
  • Supports project management through feasibility process, escalating questions to the Sr. Product Marketing Manager when needed to clarify direction.
  • Leads marketing commercialization process with responsibilities including, but not limited to:
    • Determining launch dates and aligning with IT
    • Final product name, positioning, and claims, allergens, etc.
    • Creating Marketing Language Files (MLF) and copy guidelines document, including label artwork reviews.
    • Finalizing pack strategy, including existing, creation or discontinuations
    • Works with multiple teams to determine final pricing strategy, BV, etc.
    • Creates living presentation decks for teams to refer to throughout launch process.
    • Runs new product launch kick offs as well as training meetings for Customer Care and Regional Sales with the support of Product Education
    • Supports the Creative team as subject matter experts throughout launch in various capacities.
  • Manages existing product lifecycle with responsibilities including, but not limited to:
    • Works with Operations team for ongoing evaluation of product profitability, and ongoing analysis of product portfolio, leveraging Power BI reports, excess inventory reports.
    • Monitoring reformulations, excess inventory, low/out-of-stock situations, inspection failures with the assistance of other teams to determine next steps.
    • Communicates relevant information to appropriate parties when needed and assists in decision-making for next steps.
    • Coordinates product discounts, promotions, leveraging project management team as needed.
    • Supports product discontinuations.
  • Provides ongoing support to Events team, including travel, for any product-related segments, promotions, etc.

Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years of marketing experience, to include 3 years in a Product Manager or Brand Manager role.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be a forward thinker.
  • Travel occasionally required for event functions.May include traveling abroad.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business.
  • 5 years of marketing experience
  • Professional experience in network marketing or health and wellness industry.
  • Experience in Global/International product marketing.
