Position Summary

The Director Corporate Controller will lead the corporate accounting functions and oversee financial statement compliance, ensure proper internal controls, and deliver business analysis of financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision making. This role will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional leaders to ensure compliance and enhance operational efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Supervise and prepare the businesses financial bookkeeping, records, and statements, including consolidated statements, to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and consistency of reporting with GAAP and applicable international standards for foreign entities
  • Ensure business adherence to internal finance and accounting controls
  • Supervise and coordinate financial audits by external auditors for U.S. and International entities
  • Oversee regulatory reporting for all entities, ensuring timely compliance with applicable rules, laws and regulations
  • Provide finance expertise and decision support of the organization’s strategy, goals, and objectives to leadership
  • Prepare analysis, insights, commentary, and presentation material for management meetings
  • Direct and oversee the work of accounting professionals, including training, mentoring and ensuring professional development
  • Ensure compliance with lender financial covenants
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses of the organization's finances, technical accounting, and prepare reports, as necessary
  • Work with accounting leadership on journal entry review and account reconciliation strategies
  • Oversee technical areas such as cost accounting, transfer pricing, intercompany, foreign currency policy, consolidation and eliminations, etc.

Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 8 years of progressive accounting and a minimum of 5 years in a management level role
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Public accounting experience
  • Demonstrated results in improving processes and developing financial analysis that provides business insight
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Silled in the implementation of, and working with financial reporting and ERP system
  • Accomplished at drafting and reviewing financial statements and accompanying footnotes
  • Environment requires the ability to work in a fast-paced office where daily challenges occur and volumes can be heavy
  • Occasional travel required for meetings or business needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience
  • International experience with an understanding of foreign currency
  • Professional experience in network marketing or health and wellness industry
  • Dynamics AX experience
