  • Position Summary

    The Salesforce Developer will be involved in the implementation and ongoing support of the Salesforce solution platform. This role will assist in the design and development of deliverables identified through conversations with system analysts, end users, and third-party implementation/development groups. The position requires familiarity with all phases of the software development life cycle in particular, Salesforce (SFDC) implementation and development.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

    • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and products
    • Participate in technical design sessions; develop technical solution documentation aligned with the business objectives
    • Develop, test, and document custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation
    • Develop custom solutions and interfaces on top of the Salesforce platform
    • Execute test plans to ensure quality delivery
    • Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed
    • Provide estimates and work breakdown structures for assigned tasks
    • Absorb new product and technical capabilities from Salesforce during new product releases and acquisitions
    • Coach, mentor and train personnel within the IT department organization in a peer relationship.

    Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
    • 2 years of Salesforce experience.
    • 5 years of experience performing IT responsibilities.
    • Understanding of the Salesforce product suite including Salesforce1, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, App Cloud, Communities and AppExchange solutions.
    • Configuration experience using the Salesforce point-and-click application administration interface.
    • Experience in Saleforce.com Apex Classes, Apex triggers, Visual Force, Force.com API, complex SOQL & SOSL queries, S Objects and Governor Limits.
    • Experience using Salesforce.com administration and creating Roles, Campaign Management, Profiles, Page Layouts, Workflow Alerts and Actions, and Approval Workflows.
    • Good understanding of the Salesforce objects relationships (Master-Detail, Lookup).

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Technical bachelor’s degree or related field of study.
    • 5 years development experience in Java, C# or similar platform.
    • Salesforce certification - Platform Developer 1 (PD1).
    • Salesforce certification – Administrator (ADM 201).
    • Experience using and managing access to source control systems like GitHub and Bitbucket.
    • Experience in SFDC administration, Deployment, Reports, Dashboards, and Data Management.
    • Proficiency in one or more Object Oriented language like Java, C#.
    • Proficiency in web technologies like HTML, XML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript.
    • Familiarity with Web services (SOAP, REST).
    • Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Jira, Rally or Agile Accelerator.
    • May be required to work outside normal business hours on a needed basis.
