  • Position Summary

    The Salesforce Administrator will work alongside developers in the implementation and ongoing support of the Salesforce solution platform. This role is responsible for assisting with gathering technical requirements for the Salesforce environment through conversations with system analysts, end users, and third-party implementation/development groups. In addition, this position will be responsible for configuration, testing, and training support for the Salesforce environment. Post implementation, the position will be the first line of production support. The position requires familiarity with software development life cycle.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

    • Act as the main point of contact for the Salesforce platform.
    • Support the salesforce user with administration and use of salesforce.
    • Participate in requirement discussions related to Salesforce requests.
    • Identify business risks, inefficiencies, issues, and improvement opportunities related to processes and communicate alternative solutions to key business owners.
    • Work with the salesforce development team to solution business requests.
    • Ensure we are maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the system based on the various user department needs.
    • Execute test plans to ensure quality software delivery.
    • Manage salesforce production and sandbox environments by assisting with defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
    • Develop and manage documentation related to administration of the Salesforce platform.
    • Expected to continue ongoing Trailhead learning.

    Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
    • 2 + years of experience supporting and administrating Salesforce or related systems analysis experience.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Driven to increase personal knowledge and skills.
    • Experience with team environments, implementation partners and vendor management.
    • Knowledge of sales and customer service processes and procedures.
    • Knowledge of project management methods and standards.
    • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and/or Agile concepts.
    • Knowledge of business process improvement methods and standards.
    • Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems as well as provide guidance and instruction to users.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft software including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
    • May be required to work outside normal business hours on a needed basis.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Technical bachelor’s degree or related field of study.
    • Salesforce.com Administrator certification.
    • Support of 50 Salesforce seats minimum.
    • 2-3 years of systems analysis experience.
    • Strong technical and functional proficiency in Salesforce administrative tasks including, and not limited to profiles, roles, security, workflows, validation rules, trigger approvals, advanced formulas, custom objects, reports, and dashboards.
    • Familiar with Salesforce and Salesforce best practices.
    • Familiarity with Force.com/Apex/VisualForce.
    • Salesforce.com certifications.
