  • Position Summary

    This position serves and ensures successful development, commercialization, and launch of Ready-to-Eat products that meet project success and business goals. Working independently and/or with small dynamic groups, the position is intended to provide continuous support, innovation and stewardship to the design, development and commercialization of ready-to-eat food products.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

    • Participate in innovation activities and contribute to the development of new product strategies and ideas.
    • Hands on knowledge and experience in developing Ready-to-Eat food products.
    • Organize and manage new product ideas and concepts from lab prototype samples through plant trial and full commercialization. Perform accelerated and long-term stability study on prototypes, pilot and production samples.
    • Assists in providing timely concepts, developments or scientific insight and understanding with respect to new or existing products.
    • Perform physical, organoleptic and chemical testing on prototypes, samples and products to characterize, optimize or improve formulation.
    • Interprets results and prepare related reports for internal and external customers as appropriate in a timely manner.
    • Work with cross functional teams to set up product specifications and complete technical transfer for successful production. As well as, work with marketing, label graphics and research & science on structure function claims, product differentiation and label design ensuring all information is correct in regards to product formulation and technology.
    • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment and assist in coaching and training junior staff on lab protocols, instruments and product development process.
    • Assist in assessing project milestones, timelines and maintain Isagenix innovation advantage by keeping information confidential.

    Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

    • Bachelors of Science Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
    • 3 years of product development or work-related experience in a combination of ingredient/food/supplement/personal care industries. Understand manufacturing processes and cGMP.
    • Strong technical skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
    • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Occasionally work outside the normal work hours.
    • Some travel will be required to manufacturing facilities, conferences and trade shows.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Masters of Science Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry.
    • 5 years of product development or work related experience in a combination of ingredient/food/supplement/personal care industries.
    • 1-2 years of production-related experience in Ready-to-Eat manufacturing facilities.
