  • Position Summary

    This role is responsible for the full spectrum of the accounting activities and functions in the International markets, which include general accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and establish and implement strategies for reconciling accounts and reporting financial results, internal controls, etc. In addition, this position will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the individual country financial statements and compliance with GAAP and implementation of new pronouncements, as applicable. The position demands an analytical skill-set and an ability to hit deadlines while maintaining accuracy and a sound knowledge and application of accounting theory, principles, and procedures.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

    • Manage Application of knowledge of US GAAP Accounting and applying the proper accounting policies and procedures to all job responsibilities.
    • Complete month end activities for multiple international entities.
    • Analyze and prepare monthly P&L reporting and commentary to support changes in the markets.
    • Develop processes improvements in current workflows to create synergies and efficiencies to help create better reporting and visibility.
    • Test new system changes and enhancements to ensure they work for international markets from a compliance standpoint.
    • Assist in the preparation of the company's financial processes, fillings, statements and reports in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and local generally accepted accounting principles, to include the monthly financial close process for International companies as assigned
    • Assist with Statutory financial audits and ensure financials meet the local requirements.
    • Contribute financial expertise to various functions, special projects and analysis.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and complete monthly variance analysis.
    • Understand consolidations and inter-company transactions.
    • Complete balance sheet account reconciliations and detailed P&L account analysis.
    • Build relationships with cross-functional areas and handle any conflicts in a professional manner.
    • Execute extensive audit processes, including the consolidated and statutory audits.
    • Complete accounting research.
    • Understand consolidations, intercompany transactions, and international compliance.

    Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
    • 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role working with business financials.
    • Previous public accounting related experience.
    • Technical accounting skills.
    • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • A strong team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude who drives process improvements to increase effectiveness of the team and minimize room for errors.
    • Hands-on, detail-oriented and organized.
    • A self-starter and high-achiever with a focus on doing a great job.
    • A superior problem solver, possessing the initiative to look into the details and interpret the impact of key business drivers.
    • Excellent multi-tasker who has strong time and project management skills and understands the importance of planning in advance to meet deadlines that include multiple review points and iterations.
    • Strong communicator, both written & verbal; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • 7 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role working with business financials and experience in a Sr. or leading role.
    • Accounting experience in international markets or in a company that conducts business internationally.
    • Certified Public Accountant designation.
    • Professional experience in network marketing or health and wellness industry.
    • Experience with DAX software.
    • Big 4 experience.
