  • Position Summary

    The Quality Control Coordinator works closely with external groups and internal cross-functional areas, such as Contract Laboratories, Procurement, Inventory Control, Product Development, Regulatory, and Logistics in reviewing products, processes and services to make sure they meet certain standards of quality and compliance. This role is intended to maintain process controls and continually review, track and document laboratory, testing, and processing functions.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

    • Work with Product Development teams and contract laboratories to establish finished product specifications.
    • Collect, review, and organize information for finished product specifications including analysis of testing methodologies.
    • Process laboratory results, data collections, statistical evaluations, trend and prepare quality control reports based on results and data.
    • Process, coordinate and track internal sample processing and sample submissions to contract laboratories.
    • Monitor testing schedules for third parties, including rotation and/or rotational testing.
    • Maintain logs (laboratory, tracking, inventory, etc.) and analytical data in an organized, secure manner.
    • Conduct, monitor and document Quality Control checks, such as the temperature and humidity of specified areas and laboratory instruments.
    • Process and conduct raw material and finished product sample analysis on FT-IR and NIR.
    • Expand scope of Quality Control by identifying opportunities for improvement and solutions.

    Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

    • Associate’s degree in a fundamental science from an accredited institution or equivalent related experience.
    • 1 year of analytical food laboratory experience.
    • Knowledge of dietary supplement and food testing methods.
    • No dietary restrictions or allergies.
    • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultenously with adaptability to fast paced changes in direction.


    Preferred Qualifications


    • Professional experience working with cGMP, quality assurance or FDA regulations.
    • 2 years analytical food laboratory experience.
