  • Position Summary

    The Security Analyst Intern is part of a team that provides a contact for IT Security related requests and incidents within the organization. Its members monitor the Company's security perimeter, core, and end infrastructure. The primary responsibilities for this role are monitoring, detection, and identification. This intern will respond to information security incidents and leverage security data from internal sensors (IDS, routers, SIMS, firewalls, hosts) and assist the security team with security audits and documentation.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

    • Participate in Security Process change control.
    • Conduct daily Firewall reviews.
    • Conduct security research in keeping abreast of latest security issues, new vulnerabilities, methodologies, and products.
    • Work with the security team to identify, resolve, and mitigate vulnerabilities.
    • Prepare documentation, including department policies, procedures, and alerts.

    Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

    • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree at an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Management Information Systems.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional organizational skills.
    • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
