  • Position Summary

    The Human Resources Intern will directly assist our HR department with a wide range of HR related tasks and special projects. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills he or she may have acquired in and apply them in a professional setting. Tasks and special projects will be focused around recruiting, onboarding, employee training and development, and HR operations.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

    • Learn recruiting best practices, screen candidates, review resumes, schedule interviews and coordinate candidate routing through our application process.
    • Assist Recruiters with background checks and onboarding.
    • Work with HR Generalist on HR tools, handbooks, policies, etc.
    • Help maintain employee related databases, reports and files.
    • Work on refreshing HR webpage on SharePoint.
    • Help coordinate trainings and create materials.
    • Research, compile and record existing governmental and labor requirements; become familiar with them.
    • Execute HR special projects as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

    • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree at an accredited university with an interest and aptitude to work in Human Resources, management or related fields.
    • Ability to handle confidential information.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional organizational skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prefer completion of at least 4 semesters of college-level courses.
    • Student Member of SHRM.
    • Experience using SharePoint.
